Stop and Breathe.. from the heart of a special needs mom

As I lay in bed this morning, my head spinning with important things to do today... really important, like creating a very comfortable income stream so that my daughter is always taken care of...expanding my business, reaching new clients, opening new accounts... to buying dog food and potty pads...taking Sammy for a much needed walk, and taking ME for a much needed walk, grocery shopping, and an 11:30 appt... oh wow,yes and this Sunday is Easter, so a dress for my daughter, a sweet thoughtful basket of love and getting her nails painted, because although getting her to the nail salon is a huge challenge, I know once they are beautiful and purple or pink... she can't wait to show them off :)... to see her face light up makes it all worth it.

My point is... I wasn't in a great place this morning...Lot's of heavy responsibilities on my plate... it happens to all of us, So as I was getting ready to rush my daughter out the door to the bus, I just stopped in my tracks... looked at her and with tears in my eyes hugged her as tight as I could. I could tell by the way she hugged me back that we both needed that moment of expressed love. Life can be so busy, but if you don't stop and embrace a moment once in a while, at the end of the day this is what really matters.

Have a fantastic day everyone and make sure you not only tell the ones you love but take a moment and show them.

My daughter got on the bus with a smile in her heart and a smile on her face. I watched her as the bus drove away and her little hand was happily waving goodbye... She is off to a beautiful day and so am I.

Sincerely,

From the heart of a special needs mom.
